Low-cost Services
It is part of our mission here at CMHS to promote responsible pet ownership. To our shelter this does not simply mean a hearty meal, exercise and belly rubs. Routine visits to a veterinarian, keeping your animal vaccinated and most importantly, spayed or neutered is a huge part of the equation. To make this easier for low-income community members, CMHS offers the following services to those who qualify:
Pricing:
- Dog Spay- $70.00
- Dog Neuter- $70.00
- Depending on the dog’s weight, the let staff may charge up to $80 for larger animals
- Cat Spay- $40.00
- Cat Neuter- $40.00
- Rabbit Spay- $65.00
- Rabbit Neuter- $60.00
Additional service Fees (Added to surgery fee):
- Cryptorchid- $25.00 (bilateral, $50.00)
- Rabies Vaccination (at time of sterilization only)- $10.00
- DA2PPV (at time of sterilization only)- $10.00
- FVRCP (at time of sterilization only)- $10.00
- Nail trim (at time of sterilization only)- $5.00
- Microchip- $25.00
- In heat/Pregnant Spay- $10.00
- Late Drop off fee- $5.00
**Other services may be offered during the time of surgery. The front dest staff will go over pricing of any additional services at the time of drop off.

To reserve an appointment, please call CMHS at 573.443.7387. Payment must be received at the time of set-up. Vaccinations are only available at time of sterilization. Please know that CMHS works with a variety of rescue groups and organizations who may be able to waive the sterilization fee based on breed.
